Graduation Ceremony of Students from Centro de Estudios Superiores Navales
(Center for Higher Naval Studies), Academic Year 2022-2023

Mexico City.–The Centro de Estudios Superiores Navales (CESNAV, by its initials in Spanish) is honored to announce the graduation of our 299 students from various postgraduate studies taught at this prestigious educational institution. On July 13th, 2023, the ceremony was held at Naval Secretariat’s Patio de Honor.

Among the distinguished graduated students, we had personnel from Naval Secretariat (SEMAR, by its initials in Spanish), Secretariat of National Defense (SEDENA, by its initials in Spanish) and civil servants from the Federal Public Administration. Moreover, two guests from Republic of Guatemala honored us with their presence in this important academic event.

The ceremony was directed by Admiral José Rafael Ojeda Durán, Secretary of the Navy. He emphasized how important it is to foster education and knowledge in maritime and naval areas.

In his speech Mexican Navy’s High Command highlighted the responsibility and perseverance of graduated alumni at constantly aiming for academic excellence, and their contribution with our country’s National Security enhancement and Maritime Development. Furthermore, the Secretary of the Navy together with civil servants from Sistema Educativo Naval y Militar granted to CESNAV’s valedictorians from master’s degrees and academic minors their respective special citations.

Therefore, honorable mentions were presented to whom obtained the most outstanding scores in their qualifications’ exams. These mentions honor student’s diligence and commitment who excelled in their academic knowledge and skills in their respective areas of expertise.

Additionally, three professors from CESNAV were granted an acknowledgement for their teaching merits. These professors were recognized for their exceptional performance, their commitment with educational quality and their dedication to foster academically to our alumni.

The graduation ceremony of our 299 students is pivotal to their education and is evidence of their commitment with civil service and professional development. We at CESNAV are proud to play a role in our alumni academic development and we wish graduated students to have a successful future in their respective professions.
